3 storytellers presented their unique story to Tamannaah in the race to make it into a short film by Signature Masterclass
Hyderabad : The 4th season of Signature Masterclass, powered by Signature Packaged Drinking water kicked off in Hyderabad last evening on an inspiring note with Southern Sensation, Tamannaah Bhatia at Park Hyatt, Hyderabad. Tamannaah shared her journey of making her debut in films as a 15 year old to achieving success and making a mark a couple of years later in the South Indian film industry.
Signature Masterclass in its fourth season is providing a stage to the country’s aspiring filmmakers to pitch these stories live to their favorite celebrities and stand a chance to direct their story and bring it to life as a short film.
The event saw 3 storytellers who were shortlisted among the thousands who applied to pitch their unique stories to Tamannaah. One winner among these will now move to the final round where they get closer to their dream of making it big. The shortlisted contestants were Lalit Kumar, Dayanand TK and Arindam Chatterjee. Dayanand TK was chosen the winner for the Hyderabad leg for his interesting story –‘Toby’. Toby is mystery thriller written by Dayanand TK who originally hails from Bangalore. While Speaking to us , He mentioned “ I am very much happy that my story Toby has been selected as the best story. I must thank Signature Masterclass for empowering story tellers with such a great platform. They are doing an amazing job “.
Born to a Sindhi family in Mumbai, Tamannaah dreamt of being an actor from a very young age. The actress who made her debut at the age of 15 in the Hindi film industry, achieved success through her roles in Telugu and Tamil films. She shared how her desire to learn the languages rather than being prompted led her to emote and express naturally while playing the characters in her films. The actress also shared how, accepting the uncertainty of the industry and pushing boundaries to navigate through challenges was the way she made her mark, her signature. It was her zeal to go above and beyond the stereotypical heroine roles thatbrought her immense success in commercial South Indian films.
Speaking at the Masterclass in Hyderabad, Tamannaah Bhatia said, “I am humbled to have been given the opportunity to share those aspects of my story that no one really knew at the fourth edition of the Signature Masterclass this year. Over the years since my debut, I learnt that no matter what the result of a film every Friday, one must keep going ahead and achieve success. I hope today, through my story I was able to inspire men and women alike, to follow their dreams and make a mark in their respective fields.It was a wonderful experience listening to interesting stories that were pitched to me and I think I am going to find it difficult to choose the best. I wish all the participants luck and hope each one of them can make their mark in the industry soon
