Court Issues Arrest Warrant Against Zareen Khan In Alleged Cheating Case; Actress Expresses Shock

Zareen Khan Cheating Case: In a rather shocking turn of events, a Kolkata court has issued an arrest warrant against Bollywood actress Zareen Khan in connection with an alleged cheating case dating back to 2018. The case was filed by event organizers from Kolkata.

The arrest warrant was issued by the Sealdah court after the investigating officer submitted a charge sheet. Zareen did not appear before the court despite repeated summons, nor did she file a bail plea, leading to the issuance of the warrant.

When questioned about the arrest warrant, Zareen Khan expressed shock and said, “I’m sure there is no truth to this. I’m surprised too and am checking with my lawyer. Only then will I be able to give you some clarity. In the meantime, you can speak to my PR.”

The controversy dates back to 2018 when Zareen Khan was to perform at a Durga Puja event in Kolkata. However, she failed to show up, leading to the cancellation of her performance, which left organizers and attendees disappointed.

According to police, one of the event organizers filed a written complaint of cheating against Zareen Khan and her manager, leading to the registration of an FIR against both of them. They were then summoned for questioning.

At that time, Zareen Khan appeared for questioning and claimed that the event organizers had misguided her. She stated that they had falsely represented the event, telling her that prominent politicians, including the Chief Minister of West Bengal, would be in attendance. However, upon her arrival, she discovered that it was a small-scale event in north Kolkata. She also cited misunderstandings regarding plane tickets and accommodations due to which she failed to attend the event.

Zareen Khan later filed a case against the event organizers in a local court. Following an investigation, a charge sheet was filed against her and her manager. While her manager sought bail and appeared in court, the actress, however, neither requested bail nor attended the court proceedings.
